Therapeutic touch

Moving beyond the mind.

In my work as a practitioner of therapeutic touch it is about moving beyond the mind and helping my client feeling her body, listening to it, and connecting to it. Our body holds memories and emotions that we haven’t yet processed or felt. That storing can translate into physical tension or pain that we might not be able to link to anything at the moment we feel it. With time this process can also lead to a feeling of disconnection with ourselves.

Touch is a timeless and powerful tool to relax and to regulate our bodies. When we are held or touched in a safe and ethical way our bodies normally can calm down and eventually release tension and emotions.

From an energetic perspective our body consists of different dimensions: the physical body, the auric field and a deeper level we can refer to as our core. Touch is thus never limited to our skin. It includes a larger field and starts with our presence entering that field.

With therapeutic touch I refer to working on the different dimensions of the body, by giving it generous attention applying specific hands-on techniques as well as conscious subtile touch. In that way our body, that always knows and strives for balance, can be supported to find back to a state of balance.

It is my intention to always create a safe space for my client, to meeting her where she is right now and to adapt to her needs and pace.
